Natural Convection Convectors

Convectors aremodern heating devices designed for heating and cooling of workplaces, shopping centers, car showrooms, hotels, apartments and other spaces. Convectors are modern heating systems used in floor installation. These systems are ideally suited for rooms having large surfaces and restricted spaces that don’t allow installation of radiators.

In spaces with large windows and exterior walls, it is very difficult to provide comfortable heating and cooling only with conventional devices. Temperature differences between glass or wall surfaces and indoor gets colder on the boundary layer of air across the wall or glass and flows downwards. As a result, cold air spreads over the environment and discomforts the residents. Especially when the outside temperature falls below 10° C and the additional floor convectorheating is not used, it s almost impossible to provide comfort in rooms with large surface windows. Floor convectors also create a hot air layer next to the glass surfaces and prevent condensation on the glass.

Convectors are very suitable for elaborate designs. They contribute to the conditioning in the environment and don’t take up space. Different size options provide ease of solution. In addition, convectors can be manufactured in circular form and non-standard dimensions, and can be used to turn corners (??). Apart from this, the grid covers made of wood and aluminum [or ?] other materials and manufactured in different directions harmonize with interior design. Convectors can be controlled from a single terminal in any quantity by means of control accessory details. Height adjusting pins under the convector housing make it easy to be assembled on all kinds of floor.

Convectors operate with natural or compressed air convection provided by a fan. Optimum control can be achieved with thermostat and valve used in the system.

Functions:

  • Heating or cooling
  • Providing conditioned homogeneous air distribution in the space
  • Prevention of condensation on glass surfaces
  • Prevention of heat or cold inlet from outside via windows and walls
  • Heating highly humid spaces
  • Operating Principle of Natural Circulation Convectors

Hot or cold air accumulated on the floor is conditioned with compressed or natural convection in heat exchanger and released into the room again.

Specifications:

  • High heating and cooling capacity
  • Easy connection to single or two pipe systems
  • Rapid heating and cooling
  • Space saving
  • Installation in humid spaces
  • A variety of control accessories
  • Options to combine natural and compressed convection
  • Various corner and grid designs
  • Stylish-looking
  • Easy installation, operation and maintenance
  • Air pressure and temperature control

ALP DSK SERIES – Natural Circulation Floor Convector

e.g. Alp DSK series floor type convectors operate by the principle of natural air circulation. They don’t have a fan. These systems are designed in accordance with the concept of secondary space heating. Heating capacity varies between 0.3 kW and 3 kW depending on the convector size.

DSK Series floor convectors are available in lengths ranging from 800 mm to 5000 mm, widths of 200 mm, 300 mm and 400 mm and height of 70 mm, 105 mm and 140 mm. Lengths less than 3000 mm have increments of 100 mm and lengths up to 3000 mm have increments of 200 mm. Those with heights of 70 and 105 mm have single heat exchangers and at the height of 140 mm, they have double heat exchangers.

ALP DSKH SERIES – Natural Circulation Pool Type Floor Convectors

DSKH series floor convectors operate by the principle of natural convection. They don’t have a fan. They are designed for heating high humidity environments such as pools. They have a condensation pan due to high humidity rate. Heating capacity varies between 0.13 kW and 3 kW depending on the convector size.
