Fan Convectors
Convectors aremodern heating devices designed for heating and cooling of workplaces, shopping centers, car showrooms, hotels, apartments and other spaces. Convectors are modern heating systems used in floor installation. These systems are ideally suited for rooms having large surfaces and restricted spaces that don’t allow installation of radiators.
In spaces with large windows and exterior walls, it is very difficult to provide comfortable heating and cooling only with conventional devices. Temperature differences between glass or wall surfaces and indoor gets colder on the boundary layer of air across the wall or glass and flows downwards. As a result, cold air spreads over the environment and discomforts the residents. Especially when the outside temperature falls below 10° C and the additional floor convectorheating is not used, it s almost impossible to provide comfort in rooms with large surface windows. Floor convectors also create a hot air layer next to the glass surfaces and prevent condensation on the glass.
Convectors are very suitable for elaborate designs. They contribute to the conditioning in the environment and don’t take up space. Different size options provide ease of solution. In addition, convectors can be manufactured in circular form and non-standard dimensions, and can be used to turn corners (??). Apart from this, the grid covers made of wood and aluminum [or ?] other materials and manufactured in different directions harmonize with interior design. Convectors can be controlled from a single terminal in any quantity by means of control accessory details. Height adjusting pins under the convector housing make it easy to be assembled on all kinds of floor.
Convectors operate with natural or compressed air convection provided by a fan. Optimum control can be achieved with thermostat and valve used in the system.
Functions:
- Heating or cooling
- Providing conditioned homogeneous air distribution in the space
- Prevention of condensation on glass surfaces
- Prevention of heat or cold inlet from outside via windows and walls
- Heating highly humid spaces
Operating Principle of Fan Convectors:
Fan convectors draw the cold air from the zone near the floor, heat it and create an air curtain on the surface of glass. Fan convectors provide faster, denser and uniform heating as compared to natural convection.

ALP FK SERIES – Floor Convector with Fan
Alp FK series floor convectors operate with the principle of forced convection. They have a fan. They are designed for the purpose of primary or secondary heating in places where high heating capacity isneeded. Heating capacity varies between 4 kW and 5.6 kW depending on the convector size.
Alperen FK series convectors are available in heights of 105 mm, 140 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm and 400 mm. Lengths in the range below 3000 mm increment by 100 mm and lengths up to 3000 mm increment by 200 mm. While single heat exchanger is used at height of 105 mm, dual heat exchanger is used at the height of 140 mm. Three-level fan speed
ALP FKH SERIES – Pool Type Floor Convector with Fan
Alp FKH series floor convectors operate with the principle of forced convection They have a fan. They are designed for heating high humidity environments such as pools. They have a condensation pan due to high humidity rate. For safety reasons, a 12 V low-voltage fan is used. Heating capacity varies between 0.13 kW and 3 kW depending on the convector size.
Alp FKH series convectors are also used to prevent condensation on glass surfaces, reduce convection effect on cold surfaces and prevent cold air intake from doors. Alp FKH series convectors have a range of 1100 mm to 2500 mm length, 200 mm, 300 mm or 400 mm width and 140 mm height. Three-level fan speed
ALP FSSK SERIES – Hot-Cold Floor Convector with Fan
Alp FSSK series floor type convectors have the feature of heating and cooling. They operate with the principle of forced convection. The model has a fan. While they function as heaters in winters, they function as coolers in summers. Alperen FSSK series floor convectors are ideal devices to prevent high temperature caused by sunlight coming from the windows. They are also used to support ambient cooling.
In summer months, Alp FSSK floor convectors draw hot air from areas around the windows or hot walls, cool it the heat exchanger and ventilates it into the room again. This reduces heat recovery caused by the casing surfaces in the heat room. In cooling process, some humidity is drawn from air. This dehumidification also contributes to thermal comfort. Total cooling capacity of Alp FSSK convectors varies between 0.4 kW and 1.7 kW.
Alp FSSK floor convectors are used for heating purposes like other floor convectors in winters. They heat the cold air around the windows and ventilate it back to the room. Heating capacity of Alp FSSK floor convectors is in the range of 0.9 kW to 4.2 kW.
