Dehumidification Plants
In indoor swimming pools, depending on factors such as environmental conditions, pool surface area and pool activities, water evaporates and the amount of moisture increases. The increase in bacteria observed in high humidity environments threatens human health. In addition, the building is damaged due to high humidity. Ensuring humidity control in indoor swimming pool areas where humidity is intense is of high importance in terms of the necessary hygiene conditions and the operational life of the structure.
The main reason for evaporation on the pool surface is that the partial pressure of the water vapor in the ambient air is lower than the saturation temperature. Ambient air temperature, relative humidity, pool temperature, air movements and pool type are the main factors that create evaporation.
Alperen pool air conditioners and dehumidifiers are air handling units designed to remove excessive humidity in indoor swimming pools and to provide optimum comfort. In our dehumidification plants, the cooling group, dehumidification group, ventilation group and control panel are manufactured as packages. Specially extruded aluminum profiles and double-walled 45-50 mm thick panels are used in the cell structure of our dehumidification units, as in our ALPKS type air handling units. The outer surfaces of the panels are made of PVC coated galvanized sheet, and the inner surfaces are made of hot-dip galvanized sheet. Neoprene sealing gaskets are placed between the panels and the profiles and they are connected with special self-tapping screws.
In our dehumidification units, heater and cooling coils, fans, aspirators, drip traps, filters, hinged and locked doors, sight glasses are available as standard. When our dehumidification plants operate in winter, when the absolute humidity of the outside air is lower than the absolute humidity of the pool area, it keeps the relative humidity of the room at the desired level by using the outside air. Meanwhile, it does not need to run any process for cooling and it saves energy. In addition, the heating pipe recovers a certain percentage of the heat of the exhausted air. The required heat addition is carried out by the heating coil.
During the transition period from winter to summer, indoor air is circulated and passed through the evaporator and condenser, and absolute humidity is reduced. In this case, the system works with 100% indoor air. The system performs heating at certain intervals in order to prevent excessive cooling of the space. This mode of operation is also applied in night work in the winter season when there is no need for a certain amount of outside air.
When our dehumidification plants operate in summer, they mix fresh air and cool the recirculated ambient air through the evaporator and reduce the absolute humidity. In the meantime, the relative humidity of the air heated in the condenser is reduced to the desired level and sent to the environment. If the relative humidity and temperature of the outside air are suitable during the transition periods from summer to winter, this air is sent to the environment. The additional heating and cooling needed is supplied from the batteries.
